D.Pharm.

D.Pharm. is an undergraduate diploma course of pharmacy which provides you a diploma to become a Registered Pharmacist in India. In various colleges it is known as D. Pharm. Thus let us tell you that D.Pharma and D.Pharm. both are same courses. The regulatory body of Pharmacy education in India is Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) which approved the institute under sub-section (1) of Section 12 of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 so that they can deliver the Diploma in Pharmacy course.

In order to get the admission in D.Pharm., you need to follow an eligibility criteria which is based on the PCI regulations. Thus, have a look on the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Criteria:
  • 10+2 Examination in Science
  • Intermediate examination in Science.
  • Any other qualification which is approved by the PCI as equivalent to any of the above examination.

While following the eligibility criteria, you need to keep this thing in your mind that you must be from the science background with the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics.

D.Pharm. is a 2 years course whose scope is increasing day by day due to which it becomes the trending course. For a D.Pharm. graduate, there are large variety of job opportunities for such as analytical chemist, drug therapist, pharmacist, research officer and a lot more.
